Bayan University was established in 2014 at the heart of the Kurdistan Region capital Erbil. The university is advocating for a progressive education and investing in niche areas of higher education to support the immediate market.

Today Bayan University has 3 colleges -Engineering & Sciences (CENG & CSCN), Law and International Relations (CLIN) as well as Business and Economics (CBEC) and Department of English Language (DENL). These are leading the 6 departments in different fields, such as Computer Science, Law, International Relations, and Accounting as examples.

BNU's Admissions Office manages the majority of applications to study undergraduate.
